A tragic incident at Disneyland’s private Club 33 has resulted in the death of a 60-year-old administrator after she fell from a moving golf cart and hit her head at the popular theme park’s resort in Anaheim, California.

The deceased woman has been identified as Bonnye Mavis Lear of Fullerton, according to Orange County coroner’s spokesperson Sgt. Frank Gonzalez.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of West Ball Road and South West Street following a traffic accident at a backstage area of the theme park, as reported by Sgt. Jon McClintock of the Anaheim Police Department.

Upon arrival, first responders found the Disneyland employee had fallen from a moving golf cart and sustained a serious head injury. She was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

Tragically, Bonnye Mavis Lear succumbed to her injuries on Friday.

Disneyland Resort President Ken Potrock expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Bonnye, extending heartfelt condolences to all those who knew and worked with her. He emphasised the importance of providing support to her family and colleagues during this difficult time.

Lear held a position in membership support services at Club 33, an exclusive members-only restaurant and lounge nestled in the enchanting New Orleans Square section of the park, as detailed by the OC Register.
