Latest Violent Incident Rocks Nebo, Limpopo
Residents of Nebo, Limpopo, were left in shock on Friday after the discovery of a lifeless body with gunshot wounds near a dam at Riverside Village. The victim, an unidentified African male believed to be around 35 years old, was found wearing black jeans and a grey T-shirt with white dots.
The Limpopo South African Police Service (Saps) responded to the scene after emergency services were called, only to find the man in an advanced state of decomposition. A murder case has been opened as authorities work to identify the victim and apprehend the perpetrator.
Six Family Members Fatally Attacked in Eastern Cape
Meanwhile, in Tsolo, Eastern Cape, a series of attacks claimed the lives of six family members, sparking a manhunt for the perpetrators. The violence began with the fatal shooting of a 43-year-old man outside his grandfather’s residence in Mpoza, escalating to five more deaths in subsequent days.
Neighbours reported hearing gunfire at a nearby rondavel, leading to the discovery of two elderly men, aged 73 and 75, with fatal bullet wounds. Additionally, three more individuals, aged between 62 and 67, were found shot and killed in a nearby homestead.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu stated, “The motive behind these brutal killings remains unclear, but authorities believe two unknown assailants carried out the executions.” Eastern Cape Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Nomthetheleli Lillian Mene has appealed to the community to assist in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
