A tragic accident in Melbourne, Florida, has claimed the life of a 34-year-old Titusville man. Benjamin James Fish Jr. was riding his 2007 Suzuki motorcycle on West Nasa Boulevard when he collided with a 2022 Tesla Model Y driven by a 35-year-old woman from West Melbourne.
The crash occurred at the intersection of West Nasa and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. boulevards. According to the Melbourne Police Department, the Tesla was traveling westbound on West Nasa Boulevard and attempted to make a left turn onto southbound Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, crossing directly into the path of the oncoming motorcycle.
Despite the efforts of responding officers who performed CPR at the scene, Fish was pronounced dead by Melbourne Fire Department personnel. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with authorities looking into whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
