Retail theft at Walmart in Smithfield Township

SMITHFIELD TWP. — On February 22nd at 5:25 p.m., state police at Huntingdon were called to investigate a case of retail theft at the Walmart store located on Towne Center Boulevard. The incident involved the theft of several items from the store.

Driving under the influence in Walker Township

WALKER TWP. — A 48-year-old male from Huntingdon was stopped by state police at Huntingdon in the early hours of June 1st for multiple moving violations while driving a 2019 Dodge Durango along Jennifer Drive. Upon further investigation, the driver was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol. Charges are pending the results of a toxicology test.

SMITHFIELD TWP. — In another incident, state police responded to a location on Spruce Street on March 20th following a report of a theft. The investigating trooper discovered that the individual who made the complaint was under the influence of a controlled substance and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Theft by deception in Shirley Township

SHIRLEY TWP. — A 58-year-old victim reported a Publishers Clearing House scam to state police at Huntingdon, involving the theft of two Apple gift cards valued at $50 and $450. The incident was reported on May 4th and is currently under investigation.

ROCKHILL BORO. — An access device fraud case is being investigated by state police at Huntingdon, where a known juvenile male allegedly stole a debit card from a 52-year-old Rockhill man and used it to make transactions totaling $460.28. The incident took place on March 24th.

Report of terroristic threats in Penn Township

PENN TWP. — A complaint of terroristic threats was received by state police at Huntingdon on May 5th, prompting an investigation into the matter. The incident took place along Ridgewood Drive.

Lost firearm in Juniata Township

JUNIATA TWP. — A 9mm handgun, wallet, and keys were reported lost in the Juniata River near the Point Road boat launch between noon and 5 p.m. on May 17th. The owner of the items rolled his kayak, resulting in the loss of the firearm, which is a Sky Guns International CPX-1CB. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Huntingdon barracks.
