A heartbreaking incident occurred in Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, where a 14-year-old boy named Rajveer tragically died by suicide. The young boy, a class 9 student at Jubilee Park School, was taken to the hospital after his mother beat up a dog he had befriended, ultimately leading to his untimely death.
Rajveer’s father is visually impaired, and his mother, who recently suffered a brain stroke, runs a grocery shop to support the family. They reside in the mill corner area of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
Rajveer had a special bond with a stray dog that he would play with and bring home often. However, on the fateful day, his mother returned home to find the dog had created a mess by pooping in several places. Enraged by the situation, she lashed out at the dog in anger.
Witnessing the distressing scene, Rajveer, who had always been kind to the animal, retreated to his room. Later, when his mother went to check on him, she found him hanging from the ceiling fan. Desperate to save her son, she called the neighbours for help and rushed him to Ghati Hospital, but it was too late as doctors declared him brought dead.
The Kranti Chowk police station has registered a case in connection with the incident, and investigations are currently ongoing under the supervision of Senior Inspector Sunil Mane.
