A tragic incident unfolded in Belawan village, Bihar’s Kaimur district, where a 23-year-old man, Pankaj Kumar, was brutally murdered on Friday night. The young man was found dead with his throat slit at a temple in Sonara village near Belawan on Saturday morning, as confirmed by the local police.

Reports suggest that Pankaj Kumar was allegedly involved in a love affair with a girl from the same village, who had recently gotten married in Maharashtra. This love affair is believed to have led to the heinous crime that resulted in Pankaj’s untimely demise.

The victim’s family discovered his lifeless body on Saturday morning after he failed to return home the previous evening. Upon learning about the incident, the police swiftly arrived at the scene to investigate the matter. The deceased’s relatives demanded justice and refused to allow the body to be moved until action was taken against the perpetrators.

Following intervention by senior officials, the body was taken to the Bhabua Sadar Hospital for a post-mortem examination. The authorities assured the family that the culprits would be held accountable for their actions.

The victim’s family suspects the involvement of the girl’s family in the murder, pointing fingers at them for orchestrating the tragic event. Bhabua SDPO Shiv Shankar Kumar revealed that the murder was a result of the love affair, leading to the arrest of two individuals in connection with the crime.

Shiv Shankar Kumar stated, “The youth was murdered in the temple premises on Friday night. Two suspects have been apprehended, and further investigations are ongoing.”

More details are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses. The community is left in shock and mourning over the senseless loss of a young life in such a tragic manner.
