An urgent Amber Alert has been issued by the California Highway Patrol to help locate a 3-year-old child who was abducted by a woman in Nevada County on Friday. The missing child, Maverick Brown, is described as weighing approximately 40 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a tan shirt and tan shorts.
The suspect in the abduction is identified as 30-year-old Siera Salitrero, who also has blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a black sports bra, a white shirt, and blue jeans. The relationship between the child and the abductor is currently unknown, as authorities have not provided any details on this matter.
The Nevada County Sheriff’s Office has mobilized a search team consisting of 13 deputies and 35 search and rescue volunteers to locate the missing child and the suspect. The initial reports suggest that the abduction may be connected to an assault that took place on North Bloomfield Road near Grizzly Hill Road.
Both the child and the suspect are believed to be on foot and were last seen heading southeast towards the South Yuba River. The urgency of the situation requires a swift response from the public in reporting any sightings or information that may lead to the safe recovery of Maverick Brown.
