Accident – Death – Obituary News :

In a recent development, the remains discovered in Youngstown on Tuesday have been confirmed to be those of Benjamin White, a wanted shooting suspect. The Youngstown Police Department released a statement indicating that the remains were found in the 200 block of East Dewey Avenue.

Connection to Previous Incident

Benjamin White was wanted in connection to an incident that took place in October, where he allegedly robbed a 42-year-old man of cash before shooting him in the face. Despite a search effort by the police at the time of the incident, White managed to evade capture. However, on June 4, a joint operation involving officers from YPD and the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office led to the discovery of White’s body in a high brush area between Pasadena Avenue and Dewey.

Additional Charges

Aside from the shooting incident in Youngstown, White was also facing charges in a separate case in East Palestine. It was alleged that he had taken advantage of a program meant for victims of the East Palestine train derailment. This added to the list of legal troubles that White was facing at the time of his death.

Fugitive of the Week

White had been named as the Fugitive of the Week by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force back in November. The task force had offered a reward for any information that could lead to White’s apprehension. Despite efforts to locate him, it was the discovery of his remains that ultimately brought closure to the case.
