CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) — The chase of a suspect who allegedly tied up an elderly woman and threatened her during a home invasion has been detailed by authorities in Clarion County.
29-year-old Damean Michael Felmlee from Parker is facing criminal charges after a dramatic pursuit by Clarion-based State Police on Tuesday, June 3.
The Pursuit
According to court records, PSP Trooper Nathan Lash spotted Felmlee driving a silver Dodge Dart with multiple warrants out for his arrest. The pursuit began on State Route 58 near Sligo Borough around 5:50 p.m.
Trooper Lash activated his emergency lights when Felmlee turned onto Bald Eagle Street and accelerated. The pursuit reached speeds of 100 MPH as Felmlee evaded law enforcement through various streets and roads.
Despite losing sight of Felmlee momentarily due to dust from the vehicle, troopers were able to track him through Knox and onto State Route 208 in Shippenville. The pursuit ended when Felmlee’s vehicle was spiked by PSP Marienville patrol units.
Charges and Arrest
Felmlee faces a long list of charges including felony offenses for fleeing from police and endangering others, as well as multiple summary violations for traffic infractions. He is currently held in Butler County Jail awaiting a preliminary hearing in Clarion County Court.
