The incident involved a jeep with the registration number 01001Ja1489 that was travelling from Lekam Rural Municipality in Darchula towards Dhangadhi.
The identity of the deceased individual has not yet been confirmed. Among the injured are the 19-year-old jeep driver, Bashudev Nath from Dilasaini Rural Municipality-5, a 45-year-old Jagat Dhami from Lekam Rural Municipality-6, Darchula, 31-year-old Harish Parki from Lekam-4, his wife Bhawana Oda Parki, and their three-year-old daughter Ritika Parki.
Additionally, 17-year-old Arjun Luhar, 22-year-old Rekha Oda from Dilasaini Rural Municipality-6, and 60-year-old Manmatu Dhami from Malikarjun Rural Municipality-4 were also among the injured individuals. Four of the eight injured are reported to be in critical condition, while the remaining four are in stable condition.
The injured were rescued at 5 AM and immediately transported to Nisarga Hospital in Dhangadhi for medical treatment. The accident has left the local community in shock and mourning for the loss of life and the injuries sustained by the survivors.
