Sukanya Yenbumrung : Jealous Husband Kills Wife in Ayutthaya Shooting: Tragic Crime Story

A domestic dispute took a tragic turn when a jealous husband unleashed a deadly shooting spree on his relatives in Ayutthaya Province, Thailand. The incident, which occurred yesterday, left one person severely injured and claimed the life of the man’s wife.

The victim, identified as 42-year-old Sukanya Yenbumrung, tragically lost her life after being shot in the head by her husband, 30-year-old Chanchai Khunthong. Another relative, 24-year-old Noppadon Jantha, sustained critical injuries from gunshot wounds to his head.

Following the shocking incident, the perpetrator was apprehended by relatives who handed him over to the authorities. The Thai police conducted a thorough investigation of the crime scene, uncovering bloodstains on the floor, bullet casings, and a .38 caliber handgun.

Rofiyah Khunthong, the mother of the perpetrator, recounted the harrowing events that unfolded before her eyes. She described hearing screams as her daughter-in-law was shot and witnessing her son holding the gun. Despite attempts to reason with him, Chanchai fled the scene but was ultimately captured by his own family members.

Both Sukanya and Noppadon were rushed to Lad Bua Luang Hospital for medical attention. Tragically, Sukanya succumbed to her injuries, leaving her loved ones in shock and grief. Rofiyah speculated that jealousy may have been the motive behind the senseless act, as her son exhibited possessive behavior.

Chaiya Jantha, another relative present during the shooting, described the sudden and violent nature of the attack. Chanchai, without uttering a word, opened fire on his family members before fatally shooting his wife in the head.

The Ayutthaya police have sent Sukanya’s body for a detailed autopsy at the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Pathum Thani Province. Witnesses have been summoned for questioning, and Chanchai, who sustained injuries, remains detained at the hospital for further legal proceedings.
