An investigation is currently underway in Henry County, Alabama after the tragic discovery of the body of a missing woman. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office was alerted on Tuesday at approximately 8:00 a.m. that 39-year-old Crystal Jarvis was reported missing.

Sheriff Eric Blankenship immediately initiated a search to locate Jarvis, visiting locations where she was known to frequent. Tragically, Jarvis’s body was found in the 2500 block of Calhoun Drive just before noon on Tuesday.

While specific details surrounding Jarvis’s death have not been disclosed at this time, Sheriff Blankenship has confirmed that a person of interest is currently in custody on unrelated charges. To determine the cause of death, Jarvis’s body has been sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy.
