Accident – Death – Obituary News :

The father of a teenage Alaskan girl who was tragically killed in a murder-for-hire plot involving the girl’s best friend five years ago has passed away in a motorcycle accident in south-central Alaska. Timothy Hoffman Sr., 58, from Anchorage, lost control of his motorcycle and crashed while riding northbound on Park Highway just past South Rainbow Street in Meadow Lakes, according to Alaska State Troopers (AST).

Timothy and his wife Barbara “Jeannie” Hoffman were both badly injured in the crash and transported to the hospital, where Timothy was pronounced deceased. Barbara Hoffman suffered severe injuries, including a broken skull, back, and other bones, and will require multiple surgeries.

Commemorative Ride

The motorcycle crash occurred during a commemorative ride in memory of the Hoffmans’ 19-year-old daughter, Cynthia, who was killed in a murder-for-millions catfishing plot in 2019. The ride, which involved about 50 people on motorcycles and in other vehicles, also included a stop at the location where Cynthia Hoffman was murdered.

Cynthia Hoffman, who was developmentally disabled, was targeted by her best friend, Denali Brehmer, and a group of other individuals in a heinous plot orchestrated by Darin Schilmiller, who posed as a millionaire online. Brehmer, along with several accomplices, bound, gagged, and ultimately shot Cynthia Hoffman, dumping her body in a river.

Legal Proceedings

Following the murder, Brehmer, Schilmiller, and the other suspects admitted to their roles in the crime during police interviews. Schilmiller, who also attempted to produce and receive child pornography, pleaded guilty to the charges. Brehmer received a 30-year prison sentence, while Schilmiller awaits sentencing.

Schilmiller and Brehmer each received 99-year prison sentences in January and February respectively. Another accomplice, Caleb Leyland, is set to be sentenced in June, while Kayden McIntosh is awaiting trial.

Conclusion

The tragic death of Timothy Hoffman Sr. in the motorcycle accident while commemorating his daughter’s memory adds another layer of sorrow to the already devastating story of Cynthia Hoffman’s murder. The legal proceedings against the perpetrators continue, bringing some semblance of justice to the grieving Hoffman family.
