Accident – Death – Obituary News : The Preble County Sheriff’s Office in Eaton, Ohio, is currently conducting an investigation into a tragic incident that occurred on Monday, resulting in the deaths of two individuals in what is believed to be a murder-suicide. The authorities were first alerted to the situation when reports came in about a vehicle travelling on the wrong side of IR 70 at the Indiana state line around 5:15 p.m. However, despite their prompt response, the vehicle could not be located at the time.
Later in the evening, at approximately 9:15 p.m., deputies were called back to the same area following a sighting of a vehicle in a ditch, suspected to be disabled. Upon closer inspection, it was confirmed that this was the same vehicle that had been reported for driving in the wrong direction earlier in the day. Tragically, upon closer examination of the vehicle, law enforcement officers discovered the lifeless bodies of two individuals inside, both of whom had sustained gunshot wounds.
In order to shed more light on the circumstances surrounding the deaths, an autopsy was carried out on Tuesday by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office. The findings from the examination have led investigators to treat this incident as a case of murder-suicide. The deceased individuals have been identified as 31-year-old Alysha Rountree from Oklahoma and 31-year-old Robert Wilson III from Twinsburg, Ohio.
The Preble County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Preble County Coroner’s Office and the Pryor Creek Oklahoma Police Department, are currently working together to piece together the events that led to this tragic outcome. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information related to this incident to come forward and assist in bringing closure to this devastating event..
