Accident – Death – Obituary News :

Authorities in Fort Bend County, Texas, have apprehended a suspect in connection with the tragic murder of a man who was reportedly being stalked. The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the suspect is now in custody.

On April 26, deputies from FBSCO responded to a distress call in the 25500 block of Fulshear Fast Road. Upon arrival, they discovered the lifeless body of 29-year-old Yoandris Bistel Rodriguez, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, lying next to a vehicle in a nearby ditch.

Regrettably, Rodriguez succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The victim, a resident of the Houston area, was found by a passerby who reported hearing several gunshots but initially mistook the sounds for something else.

Further investigation revealed that Rodriguez had been the target of unwanted attention from a man identified as 36-year-old Elton Jones Gainza. It is believed that Gainza had been stalking Rodriguez and ultimately confronted him on Gaston Road, where the fatal shooting took place.

Following the issuance of an arrest warrant by the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s Office, Gainza was apprehended with the assistance of the Gulf Coast Violent Offender Task Force. Sheriff Eric Fagan expressed his dismay over the incident, stating, “This was such a senseless act that claimed the life of a member of our community. Such violence shakes the very foundation of our sense of safety and unity.”

Gainza appeared before a judge who set his bond at $500,000 pending further legal proceedings.
