Prince William County Police : “Teen Killed in Triangle Homicide: 3 Injured”

A tragic shooting incident in Triangle has left a 15-year-old boy dead and three other victims injured, according to a statement from the Prince William County Police.

The incident took place late on Monday night in the 3700 block of Masthead Trail. Police believe that a group of boys and men were gathered in a grassy area behind homes when multiple shots were fired. Upon the arrival of law enforcement from Prince William County and Town of Dumfries, the group dispersed.

Upon conducting a search of the area, officers discovered two victims with gunshot wounds. Both individuals were transported to the hospital for treatment. Tragically, the 15-year-old boy succumbed to his injuries, while the second victim, an adult man, is expected to recover. The identity of the juvenile victim has not been disclosed due to his age.

Additionally, another teen victim with a graze wound was found by police and received medical attention. He is expected to survive. Subsequently, a fourth victim, an adult man, was also hospitalized with gunshot wounds and is in a stable condition.

The injured victims have been identified as a 16-year-old male juvenile, an 18-year-old man, and a 20-year-old man, all residents of Triangle.

Authorities have indicated that the shooting does not appear to be a random act of violence. Detectives are actively investigating the incident and following up on leads. No reports of property damage resulting from the shooting have been received.
