A Sri Lankan international student in Perth, Australia, is currently in critical condition after being cowardly attacked by a stranger at a BP petrol station in Langford, Perth. The incident, which occurred around 10 pm on May 25, has left Geeth Madushanka, 28, fighting for his life.

According to reports from the Daily Mail, the attacker, identified as Cyril Benedict Garlett, allegedly pushed and punched Madushanka in the face, causing him to fall and hit his head. Police have stated that Garlett had previously attacked two other men earlier that day, leading to the serious injuries sustained by Madushanka.

Madushanka, who has been studying in Perth since February, is currently receiving treatment in the ICU at Royal Perth Hospital. His family and friends have set up a GoFundMe page to raise funds for his medical expenses, as he faces a long and challenging road to recovery. So far, they have raised $9,000 towards his treatment.

Garlett has been charged with grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning bodily harm, and criminal damage or destruction of property in connection with the incident.
