Accident – Death – Obituary News :

A Lumberton resident, Adam Dale Isaacks, has been handed a substantial federal prison term for his involvement in child exploitation activities, as announced by U.S. Attorney Damien M. Diggs.

Isaacks, aged 40, admitted guilt to four counts of transporting minors for sexual purposes. The sentencing, carried out by U.S. District Judge Marcia A. Crone on June 3, 2024, saw Isaacks receive a 480-month prison term.

Background of the Case

The case unfolded on December 13, 2021, when the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to multiple instances of sexual assault at a residence in Evadale. Further investigations revealed Isaacks as the perpetrator. Isaacks, a prominent figure in the community serving as a youth baseball coach and president of the Evadale Little League Baseball organization, was found to have sexually abused eight young members of his baseball team. The victims, aged between 9 and 11 years, were subjected to illicit activities both within and outside the Eastern District of Texas. Evidence, including flight records, credit card transactions, photographs, and witness testimonies, confirmed the minors’ transportation by Isaacks for unlawful purposes.

U.S. Attorney’s Statement

U.S. Attorney Damien M. Diggs expressed his disappointment in Isaacks’ breach of trust, stating, “We expect our little league coaches to protect the children entrusted to their care; this defendant did not do that and will now serve a lengthy sentence. Coaches like the defendant, Mr. Isaacks, who have sex with minors should take note of today’s sentence, which reflects the consequences of abusing one’s position of trust by taking advantage of the vulnerabilities of minors and repeatedly engaging them in unlawful sexual activities. This case shows how local and federal agencies can work together to combat the growing epidemic of child exploitation—a crime that our office will aggressively prosecute.”

Investigative Efforts

The investigation into this disturbing case was a collaborative effort involving the FBI, Sabine County Sheriff’s Office, Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, and San Augustine County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Rachel Grove led the prosecution.
