On Sunday, June 2, the Laredo Police Department swiftly responded to a distressing assault incident that occurred in the 100 block of Azinger Drive in Laredo, Texas. The incident involved an elderly man who was allegedly assaulted by another individual before fleeing the scene.
After receiving the report, law enforcement officers conducted a thorough search of the area and managed to locate a suspect matching the description near the 2100 block of Bermuda Drive. Despite attempting to evade capture, the suspect was apprehended by the authorities.
The alleged perpetrator, identified as 30-year-old Antonio Rodriguez, was taken into custody. Upon inspection, officers noted visible injuries on the 80-year-old victim, who received medical attention promptly.
