Accident – Death – Obituary News : Webster, MN (KROC-AM News)- A tragic crash in rural southern Minnesota has resulted in the death of a 30-year-old man, critical injuries for a woman, and hospitalization for a baby and toddler. The incident occurred on Saturday evening in Rice County, involving a single vehicle.

According to a news release from the Rice County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal crash took place in the 3000 block of 30th St. West in Webster Township, approximately 23 miles north of Faribault. Deputies responded to the scene around 8 p.m.

The victim, identified as 30-year-old Nathan John Thomas from Dundas, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 33-year-old woman whose name has not been disclosed, was airlifted with critical injuries. Additionally, a toddler and a baby were extricated from the vehicle and transported to a Twin Cities hospital for urgent medical care. The toddler is a 21-month-old boy, while the baby boy is two months old. Updates on their conditions are pending.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Rice County Sheriff’s Office. More updates will be provided as they become available.
