Lipi : “IAS Officer’s Daughter Tragically Jumps to Death in Mumbai”

The tragic incident unfolded in Mumbai as Lipi, a young law student from Sonipat Haryana, took her own life due to academic pressure.

Mumbai: A heartbreaking incident occurred in Mumbai as the 27-year-old daughter of an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer from the Maharashtra cadre tragically ended her life in a suicide, as confirmed by the police on Monday.

identified as Lipi, the daughter of Vikas Chandra Rastogi and Radhika Rastogi, allegedly jumped from the 10th floor of their government accommodation at Nariman Point in south Mumbai, around 4 am, according to police reports.

Despite being rushed to GT Hospital, Lipi was pronounced dead upon arrival. The young woman was pursuing her LLB degree in Sonipat Haryana and was reportedly overwhelmed by the stress of her academic performance.

Authorities disclosed that a suicide note was discovered, in which Lipi expressed that no one should be held responsible for her decision. An investigation into the unnatural death has been initiated at Cuffe Parade Police Station by the Mumbai Police, with additional details pending.
