Palnadu, Andhra Pradesh, witnessed a tragic incident on Monday morning as a bus accident claimed the life of one woman and left 20 others injured. The unfortunate event occurred near Petlurivaripalem in Narasaraopeta mandal when a travel bus travelling from Karnataka to Yanam met with an accident.
The bus, carrying 39 passengers along with the driver, swerved to avoid a fallen tree branch on the road, resulting in the loss of control and subsequent crash. The deceased woman, identified as Divya from Vijayawada, tragically lost her life at the scene, while 20 others, including the driver, sustained injuries. The injured individuals have been promptly moved to a private hospital for medical treatment.
Among the injured was the deceased woman’s 10-year-old son, Varun, who fortunately suffered only minor injuries. The accident is believed to have been triggered by the heavy rainfall that has been pounding the region since the previous night, leading to a tree branch falling onto the road.
The police have initiated an investigation into the incident and have filed a case in connection with the bus accident. The bus driver and the other injured passengers are currently receiving medical care at the hospital, with updates on their conditions eagerly awaited.
