Soldier & wife expecting twins tragically killed in Malaysia car crash

Tragedy struck on Sunday (2 June) in Gua Musang, Malaysia, as a soldier and his pregnant wife, who was expecting twins, lost their lives in a devastating car accident.

The victims were identified as 43-year-old Ridwan Ifendi and his 37-year-old wife, Suhana, as reported by Sin Chew Daily.

The couple’s two children, aged 9 and 15, were also in the vehicle at the time of the accident.

While the children sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital for medical attention, Ridwan Ifendi and Suhana tragically lost their lives at the scene.

Details of the tragic accident

The fatal incident took place around 9:35 am on Sunday along Gua Musang Road in Kelantan.

Gua Musang District Police Chief Superintendent Siew Choon Hock revealed that Mr Ifendi was driving his family from Ipoh to Gua Musang, with plans to head to Cameron Highlands for a vacation.

Unfortunately, the vehicle lost control, overturned, and collided with a ditch on the opposite side of the road, leading to the devastating outcome.

The impact of the collision resulted in both Ridwan Ifendi and Suhana being ejected from the vehicle, leading to their immediate demise. Their bodies were transported to Gua Musang hospital mortuary for post-mortem examinations.

Meanwhile, their injured children were taken to Gua Musang hospital for necessary medical treatment.

Heartbreaking loss for the pregnant woman

According to Suhana’s sister, Su Haili, the expectant mother was six months pregnant with twins and was due to give birth in September, as reported by Oriental Daily.

Tragically, just before the accident, Suhana had undergone a procedure to transfer amniotic fluid to her unborn twins. She had recently been discharged from the hospital and returned home the day prior to the fatal crash.
