The couple was riding a motorcycle when they were hit by a dumper truck coming from the opposite direction. Sudhir, who had recently retired from the fire department in BMC and was planning a trip to Dubai, was riding with Sneha on their way back from renewing their passports. The couple, who resided in Dombivli with their two sons, had their lives shattered in an instant due to the unfortunate incident.

The Vishnu Nagar police, who are investigating the case, revealed that the couple was near Samrat chowk when the dumper truck approached from the opposite direction. However, he lost control, causing Sneha to fall on the right side and come under the rear wheel of the dumper. Sudhir, on the other hand, fell in the opposite direction, narrowly escaping with injuries.

The dumper driver, identified as Sunil Salve, aged 40, was apprehended by the authorities and subsequently arrested for failing to apply brakes in time to prevent the tragic outcome.
