A teenage male is currently in police custody after a tragic incident at a sleepover in Florida, where he fatally stabbed another teenager and injured an adult. The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office in Florida made the grim announcement following the incident.

Hernandez fled on foot following the attack but was swiftly apprehended with the assistance of the sheriff’s office helicopter. Authorities confirmed that he was still in possession of the murder weapons at the time of his arrest.
Both of the stabbing victims were airlifted to a nearby medical facility for urgent treatment. Tragically, Gill succumbed to his injuries, while the adult victim was still receiving medical care for their wounds.
Following his arrest, Hernandez was taken to the Sumter County Jail and charged with premeditated first-degree murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and armed burglary.
It was revealed that both Gill and Hernandez had withdrawn from Sumter County Schools and were being homeschooled.
During a press briefing on Sunday, Sumter County Undersheriff Pat Breeden described the incident as a premeditated and targeted attack.
“Alexander informed detectives that he had ordered the two weapons online the previous Thursday. The weapons arrived on Saturday, and after unpacking and handling them, he walked nearly six miles to the victim’s residence,” Breeden disclosed.
Authorities indicated that Hernandez could face additional charges as the investigation progresses.
Breeden also mentioned that the motive behind the attack was still under investigation.
“One thing is clear – this was a violent and premeditated assault. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims’ families during this difficult time,” Breeden expressed.
