PORTLAND, Ore. — A 25-year-old man, Ra Fet, is currently facing multiple charges following an alleged kidnapping incident involving a 47-year-old woman in Portland, Oregon. The incident took place in the early hours of Friday, according to police reports.

The situation unfolded at approximately 1:40 a.m. when Fet encountered the woman near SE 146th and Division. He offered her a ride home, but when they reached SE 112th, the woman attempted to exit the vehicle. However, Fet accelerated the car and prevented her from leaving, initiating a harrowing ordeal.

During the course of the drive, the woman resisted Fet’s actions, leading to a physical altercation. Reports indicate that Fet struck the woman in the face as she tried to free herself from the moving vehicle. Despite the danger, she managed to leap out of the car and flee on foot.

Following her escape, the woman sought refuge and assistance, eventually being discovered by law enforcement officers hiding in a nearby driveway. She sustained injuries including cuts and bruises, for which she received medical attention.

Approximately 40 minutes after the incident, authorities located Fet’s vehicle and apprehended him. Subsequently, he was taken into custody and booked into Multnomah County Jail on charges of kidnapping, sex abuse, coercion, menacing, assault, reckless driving, and reckless endangerment.

The investigation into the matter is ongoing, with law enforcement urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in the case.
