Jordan De’Ante Talley : “Abusive Boyfriend Kills Bystander: Deputy Reacts”

A 64-year-old man’s night out celebrating his daughter’s engagement took a tragic turn when he intervened in a domestic violence incident. According to authorities, Donald Storie witnessed a man attacking a woman in downtown Orlando, Florida.

Upon hearing the woman’s cries for help, Storie decided to intervene, stating, “That’s not right,” as per court documents obtained by Law&Crime.

Tragically, the attacker, identified as 27-year-old Jordan De’Ante Talley, fatally punched Storie, leading to his death 23 days later due to complications from the injuries. Talley has been formally charged with manslaughter for Storie’s death and domestic battery for the attack on his girlfriend.

The incident took place on March 31 at around 1:40 a.m. at the intersection of Robinson Street and Magnolia Avenue. Surveillance footage captured Talley assaulting the woman before Storie intervened.

Storie’s daughter informed investigators that her father reacted to the woman’s distress by heading over to help. The surveillance footage described in court documents shows Storie walking towards Talley and the woman before falling backward after being punched by Talley.

Authorities were able to track down Talley and the woman through the vehicle they were seen in on the surveillance footage. The woman, who lived with Talley in Georgia, revealed that they were in Orlando for her birthday and had been dating for several months.

She stated that she was trying to escape from Talley during the incident but was prevented from leaving. Talley later admitted to punching Storie but claimed he did not feel threatened and was not in fear for his safety.

Storie, who passed away on April 23, would have celebrated his 65th birthday on May 5.
