The lifeless body of a 42-year-old man was discovered in a state of decomposition inside his rented residence in Chattarpur, located in south Delhi. Authorities were alerted to the situation after receiving a call on Saturday evening, around 9 p.m., indicating that the man, identified as Ratan, had not been responsive to phone calls and his room was secured from within.
Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement officials were forced to forcibly enter the room, where they made the grim discovery of Ratan’s remains lying on the bed in an advanced state of decay. A senior police officer shared that initial investigations have unveiled that the deceased, hailing from Maharashtra, had been employed by a multinational corporation in the Delhi-NCR region and had been residing alone in the property for over a year.
Following the retrieval of the body, it was transferred to the mortuary at AIIMS for further examination. Medical assessments have indicated that Ratan may have been grappling with underlying heart conditions, shedding light on a potential cause of his untimely demise.
