Authorities in Webster Township are investigating a devastating crash that claimed the life of a Dundas man and left three others seriously injured, including two young children.

The incident occurred on Saturday night in the 3000 block of 30th Street West, where deputies from the Rice County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash just after 8 p.m.

Upon arrival, emergency responders discovered the lifeless body of 30-year-old Nathan John Thomas at the scene. The driver of the vehicle, a 33-year-old woman, sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) for urgent medical treatment.

Two young boys, aged 21 months and 2 months, who were also in the vehicle at the time of the crash had to be extricated from the wreckage. They were transported to HCMC for further medical care, the severity of their injuries undisclosed at this time.

Sheriff Jesse Thomas expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts of local agencies in responding to the tragic incident, emphasizing the importance of ensuring the safety and well-being of the community.

The Rice County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash and is urging anyone with information to come forward. Updates on the case are expected to be released as the investigation progresses.
