Bhopal, UK: A shocking incident unfolded in Bhopal as a 26-year-old man, identified as Nadeem Uddin, was arrested for allegedly strangling his 22-year-old wife to death. The tragic event occurred on May 21, sparking a police investigation that led to the arrest of the suspect on Saturday.
Suspected Affair Leads to Tragic Outcome
The motive behind the heinous crime was the man’s suspicion of his wife having an affair with another man. The victim, who had sought refuge at her parents’ home in Murli Nagar due to marital discord, went missing on the fateful day, prompting her family to report her disappearance to the authorities.
During the interrogation, the accused confessed to the brutal act, revealing that he lured his wife to Karond crossing under false pretenses. Upon discovering an incriminating video on her mobile phone, the man flew into a rage and strangled her to death in a moment of uncontrollable anger.
Gruesome Disposal of the Body
After committing the murder, the accused transported the victim’s body in his auto-rickshaw to a secluded location approximately 2 kilometers away. There, he doused the remains with kerosene and set them ablaze at a waste dump before burying the charred remains.
Authorities have recovered some unburnt body parts from the scene, which have been sent for forensic examination to gather further evidence in the case. The perpetrator has been charged under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code for murder, along with other relevant offences.
