Accident – Death – Obituary News : A man from Madhya Pradesh has been apprehended for allegedly strangling his wife to death due to suspicions of infidelity. The tragic incident occurred in Bhopal last week. The suspect, identified as Nadeem Uddin, aged 26, reportedly transported the victim’s body in his autorickshaw to a dumpyard after committing the heinous act. Subsequently, he proceeded to burn and bury the body. Although the fatal event took place on May 21, Nadeem Uddin was taken into custody on Saturday, as confirmed by Nishatpura police station sub-inspector M.D. Ahirwar.
Following the discovery of some unburnt remains of the 22-year-old victim, the authorities have sent them for further examination. The victim had been residing at her parents’ residence after her relationship with her husband deteriorated. Her parents raised concerns with the police after she went missing on May 21. During the subsequent investigation, the husband was brought in for questioning and reportedly confessed to the crime. The accused expressed suspicions that his wife was involved with another man, as revealed by Ahirwar.
On the day of the incident, the accused lured his wife to Karond Crossing under the pretext of meeting her. Upon their rendezvous, he seized her mobile phone and became incensed after viewing a particular video on the device. In a fit of rage, he proceeded to strangle the woman. Subsequently, he transported her body in his autorickshaw to a location approximately 2 km away, where he immolated it using kerosene.
The accused has been charged under Indian Penal Code Section 302 for murder, among other offences. The police are currently interrogating the suspect and conducting a thorough investigation into the matter. In a separate incident on May 31, a man from Delhi was also arrested for allegedly strangling his 22-year-old wife in south Delhi. Following a distress call reporting a murder, the authorities rushed to the scene where the deceased, identified as Pooja from Rajokri, was found lifeless.
Initial inquiries revealed that Pooja had recently married the suspect, named Abhishek, with both individuals entering into their second marriage. While Abhishek did not have any children, Pooja had a son from her previous marriage. The DCP, Southwest, Rohit Meena, indicated that a matrimonial dispute appeared to be the primary motive for the murder. The preliminary examination of the deceased’s body indicated death by strangulation.
The couple had met through a matrimonial website, with their union experiencing turbulence from the outset. Police investigations are ongoing to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the tragic event..
