Davis Martinez : “Chevy Chase Man Wanted in Death of MD Agent”

Authorities in Montgomery County were left reeling following the discovery of the lifeless body of 33-year-old Davis Martinez, a dedicated Maryland Parole and Probation agent. Martinez was found deceased inside a residence in the 2800 block of Terrace Drive in Chevy Chase.

It was revealed that Martinez had gone to the location to carry out a routine resident check on Emanuel Edward Sewell, a recently released individual. Concerns arose when Martinez failed to return to duty, prompting a check on his well-being by Montgomery County Department of Police officials.

Tragically, Martinez was found inside the premises, having suffered multiple injuries as confirmed by the medical examiner who ruled his death as a homicide. The suspect, Sewell, remains at large, heightening concerns for public safety.

Police Launch Search Operation

Emanuel Edward Sewell, a 54-year-old Black male, is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing around 250 pounds. Authorities believe Sewell may be driving a grey 2017 Hyundai Elantra bearing Maryland license plates 93661HT. Of particular concern is the fact that Sewell is in possession of Agent Martinez’s badge, raising fears of potential misuse.

Consequently, the Maryland State Police have issued a Blue Alert to aid in the swift apprehension of Sewell, who is considered armed and dangerous. Members of the public are advised not to approach the suspect if encountered and to instead contact law enforcement immediately.
