State Police have apprehended a man from Parker, Pennsylvania, in connection with a violent home invasion that left a 78-year-old man seriously injured in Madison Township, Clarion County.
According to reports from State Police in Clarion, troopers responded to a distress call at a residence in Madison Township on Tuesday, May 21, at approximately 8:25 a.m. Upon arrival, they discovered the elderly victim suffering from severe bodily harm.
Investigations revealed that the victim had been attacked by unidentified assailants who forcibly entered his home the previous night. Further inquiries led to the arrest of 31-year-old Tyler Scott Wyant, who was found to be involved in the incident.
Wyant was taken into custody on Thursday, May 30, and appeared before District Judge Timothy P. Schill for arraignment later that day. He faces several charges, including Burglary, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery and Aggravated Assault, among others.
Due to his inability to post the $100,000.00 bail, Wyant was remanded to the Clarion County Jail pending further legal proceedings. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for June 11, with Judge Schill presiding over the case.
