BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A male individual is currently facing legal charges following a heated altercation at a Bowling Green motel on Thursday night. The incident, which occurred around 9:33 p.m., prompted Bowling Green police to respond to the 3100 block of Scottsville Road after receiving reports of a domestic disturbance, as documented in a uniform citation.

Details of the Incident

Upon arrival at the scene, law enforcement officers were met with the sound of a man, later identified as 47-year-old Jeremy Blanton from Bowling Green, Kentucky, shouting within the confines of a motel room. The situation quickly escalated as Blanton resisted arrest and made a menacing move towards a nearby table where a knife and revolver were visibly placed.

According to the uniform citation, when the officer drew his taser in an attempt to subdue Blanton, the latter commanded a large dog to attack the officer. The dog’s advance was halted once the taser was discharged, resulting in contact with Blanton. Subsequently, he was taken into custody and received medical attention from the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) before being transported to the Warren County Detention Center.
