Accident – Death – Obituary News :
Tom Parry, aged 49, and his 12-year-old son Richie, from Cheshire, are believed to have tragically lost their lives as a result of a fall in Glen Coe, Scotland. The bodies of the missing pair were discovered by rescuers at Stob Coire Nan Lochan on Wednesday evening.
The heartbreaking news was confirmed by police on Friday, ruling out any suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident. Gemma Parry, Tom’s wife and Richie’s mother, expressed her deep sorrow and gratitude for the efforts of the Scottish and Cheshire police, as well as the Mountain Rescue service and other emergency responders involved in the search and recovery operation.
A Heartfelt Tribute
Gemma Parry described Tom as a caring and loving father, while Richie was remembered as an energetic and kind-hearted boy who had a passion for quizzes, maths, and sports. The family expressed their appreciation for the overwhelming support received from the community of Alsager and their extended network of family and friends.
Mr. Parry and his son had been exploring the scenic landscapes of Glen Nevis and Glen Coe before the tragic incident occurred. Their car was located in the Three Sisters car park, where they had stopped for a hillwalking adventure.
