DAVIE COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — A woman is missing in Davie County and law enforcement believes she may be in danger.

Ashanti Alert Issued for Cynthia Roberson Gobble

An Ashanti Alert was issued for Cynthia “Cindy” Roberson Gobble, 60, of Mocksville on Thursday.

“Citizens are asked to be on the lookout for Cynthia Roberson Gobble. There is evidence of physical endangerment, abduction or kidnapping,” the alert reads. “Anyone with information about Cynthia Roberson Gobble should call Captain DJ Smith at the Davie County Sheriff’s Office at (336) 399-1706.”

Description of Cynthia Gobble

Gobble is around 5’6″ with brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a pink shirt that says “Colorado,” jean shorts, and brown sandals.

Suspect Description

The suspect is identified as Gregory Wayne Gobble, 59, Mocksville, who is described as around 5’10” with graying hair, a mustache and beard, and might be wearing khakis and a white t-shirt.

Vehicle Information

Cynthia Gobble is missing from a home in Mocksville, and they might be in a white 1997 Ford F250 pickup truck with an NC license plate number, YV1974. An additional home at High Rock Lake has been checked, and their direction of travel is unknown.

Anyone who sees Cynthia or Gregory Gobble should contact the Davie County Sheriff’s Office immediately.

Medical Concerns

Davie County Sheriff J.D. Hartman says Cynthia has diabetes, and officials believe she does not have her medication with her.

Familial Concerns

The family reports that it is odd for her to be out of touch for this long, and her personal belongings were found in her vehicle.
