Accident – Death – Obituary News : An accused individual launched a violent attack on a household in Madhya Pradesh’s Ashok Nagar in an attempt to abduct a woman on the day of her wedding. The primary suspect, known as Kalu alias Salim Khan, reportedly sexually assaulted the 22-year-old victim and publicly shamed her by circulating a video of the assault. Subsequently, the perpetrator, along with accomplices Jodha, Sameer, and Shahrukh, proceeded to target the woman’s family during her wedding to another man.
The appalling incident unfolded at approximately 6 PM when Kalu and his associates forcibly entered the woman’s residence. The victim recounted that the assailants physically assaulted her family members, resulting in her father sustaining a broken leg and her brother suffering a fractured arm. Furthermore, they viciously attacked her mother, causing severe injuries, as per reports from NDTV.
The emergence of a distressing video depicting the crime quickly spread across various social media platforms. The footage captures the attackers brandishing weapons such as swords and iron rods while forcibly dragging the woman out of her home. Despite the pleas for help from family members and onlookers, a large crowd gathered but took no action to intervene.
In response to the escalating situation, the accused perpetrators fled the scene, abandoning the woman amidst the growing commotion. Amidst the chaos, the assailants issued threats towards both the woman’s family and the relatives of her betrothed partner.
Following complaints lodged by both the woman and her father, the police initiated legal action by filing two separate First Information Reports (FIRs). The initial FIR was registered based on the woman’s statement and included charges under sections 376 (rape) and 363 (attempted kidnapping). The second FIR stemmed from the father’s complaint and cited violations of section 323 (causing bodily harm), 294 (using indecent language), and 506 (criminal intimidation).
