Authorities in Copperas Cove, Texas have confirmed the identity of the man who tragically lost his life in a devastating house explosion on May 24. The victim has been identified as 34-year-old Landon Michael Lower, a resident of Killeen.
The incident, which occurred at approximately 6:00 a.m., prompted a swift response from the Copperas Cove fire and police departments. The explosion took place near the intersection of North Main Street and East Blancas Drive.
Upon arrival at the scene, emergency responders discovered a single-story home in the 100 block of East Blancas Drive completely destroyed by the explosion. The wreckage was engulfed in flames, requiring firefighters to quickly extinguish the fire.
During the search of the premises, Lower was found to have sustained severe injuries as a result of the explosion. He was immediately transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
Sadly, Lower succumbed to his injuries on May 28, despite the best efforts of medical staff and first responders.
Authorities are currently conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the explosion. At this time, no additional information has been released to the public.
