Toronto Metropolitan Police have announced that a 20-year-old man has been formally charged, and a warrant has been issued for the arrest of a second suspect in relation to a fatal shooting that occurred earlier this month in the Oakwood Village neighbourhood.

The incident took place in the vicinity of Winona Drive and Vaughan Road at approximately 1 a.m. on May 7, prompting a swift response from law enforcement officials.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered a man and a woman who had sustained gunshot wounds. Both victims were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The female victim, fortunately, suffered serious yet non-life-threatening injuries, whereas the male victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased shortly thereafter.

The deceased individual has been identified as 31-year-old Trevor Dalton John, a resident of Toronto.

Authorities have confirmed the arrest of Kemyan Franklyn, a 20-year-old Toronto native, in connection with the shooting. Franklyn has been charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder, as per a recent police press release.

Moreover, a second suspect in the case has been identified as Adrian Vincent Walker, a 28-year-old resident of Toronto. Walker is currently wanted on charges of first-degree murder and attempted murder, with authorities appealing to the public for any information regarding his whereabouts. A photograph of Walker has been released by law enforcement officials to aid in the search.
