DAVIE COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — The Davie County Sheriff’s Office has issued an Ashanti Alert for Cynthia “Cindy” Roberson Gobble, a 60-year-old woman from Mocksville, who is believed to be in danger.

The alert was issued on Thursday, urging citizens to be on the lookout for Gobble. The alert states, “There is evidence of physical endangerment, abduction, or kidnapping.” Anyone with information about Gobble’s whereabouts is asked to contact Captain DJ Smith at the Davie County Sheriff’s Office at (336) 399-1706.

Cynthia Gobble is described as being around 5’6″ with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt with the word “Colorado” on it, jean shorts, and brown sandals.

The suspect in Gobble’s disappearance is identified as Gregory Wayne Gobble, a 59-year-old man from Mocksville. He is described as being around 5’10” with graying hair, a mustache, and a beard. Gregory Gobble may be wearing khakis and a white t-shirt.

Cynthia Gobble went missing from a residence in Mocksville. The Gobbles may be traveling in a white 1997 Ford F250 pickup truck with North Carolina license plate number YV1974. Law enforcement has checked an additional residence at High Rock Lake, but the direction of their travel is unknown.
