ORLANDO, Fla. — A fatal collision between a car and a Lynx bus near Valencia College has resulted in the death of one individual, as reported by the Florida Highway Patrol.
Initial findings from the investigating team indicate that both vehicles had a green signal as they travelled along North Econlockhatchee Trail, nearing the junction with Valencia College Lane.
According to the preliminary report, the bus driver attempted to make a left turn at the intersection, while the car, moving straight ahead, collided with the bus and was subsequently propelled into a solid concrete barrier.
Regrettably, the driver of the car succumbed to their injuries at the crash site.
Florida Highway Patrol has confirmed that the bus driver, a 59-year-old man from Orlando, along with five passengers on board, emerged from the incident unharmed.
