Cameron Greenwood : Indy Serial Flasher Arrested 47 Times

INDIANAPOLIS – A serial flasher is behind bars on Wednesday night after being accused of exposing himself to a mother and her children on the east side of Indianapolis.

26-year-old Cameron Greenwood has been arrested multiple times this month for public indecency, with the latest incident involving Jamesha Bell and her six children last Thursday, May 23.

Bell described the shocking encounter, stating, “We were outside hanging out, just enjoying the beautiful day. Didn’t think they’d see a penis.” She and her children witnessed Greenwood pulling down his pants and touching his genitals in front of them near New York and Dequincy Street.

After the incident, Bell took matters into her own hands and chased Greenwood on foot for several blocks until police were able to apprehend him. Greenwood was also linked to at least four other instances of indecent exposure on the same day, including incidents on 10th street, the McDonald’s drive-thru, a Dairy Queen, and a gas station corner.

IMPD Lt. Shane Foley commented on the case, stating, “He’s got quite the history. Our officers are responding to runs and doing what they can to make arrests. In this case, we have a man who is alleged to have exposed himself to kids. The officers involved appreciated the public’s help.”

Greenwood’s criminal record reveals a troubling pattern, with court records showing at least 47 arrests since 2019 for crimes ranging from criminal trespassing to battery. Of those arrests, Greenwood has been taken into custody nine times for nudity, exposing himself, or public indecency.

Due to a previous conviction for a similar offense, Greenwood was charged with a felony this time around. However, many of his past charges have been dismissed or resolved through plea agreements.

This latest arrest serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilant policing and community cooperation in addressing such disturbing incidents.
