Pooja : “22-Year-Old Woman Strangled in Delhi”

Delhi crime news: A tragic incident unfolded in Vasant Kunj, southwest Delhi, as a 22-year-old woman named Pooja was allegedly strangled to death by her husband over a matrimonial dispute. The Delhi Police are currently on a manhunt to bring the accused to justice. The victim, Pooja, was a resident of Rajokri.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (southwest) Rohit Meena, the Vasant Kunj South police station received a distress call regarding a murder at 12.38 pm on Wednesday, prompting immediate action from the authorities.

\’Matrimonial Dispute Suspected as Motive\’

Initial investigations suggest that a matrimonial dispute between the couple may have led to this tragic outcome. The police have confirmed that the cause of death was strangulation, based on preliminary examination of the victim’s body.

Further details revealed that Pooja and her husband, Abhishek, had tied the knot for a second time just two months ago on April 22. While Abhishek had no children from his previous marriage, Pooja had a son from her previous relationship.

Authorities have disclosed that the Forensic Science Laboratory team and the crime team have already visited the crime scene for evidence collection. A case is being registered under relevant sections, and intensive efforts are underway to locate and apprehend the husband. The investigation is ongoing.
