Jesse Lee Calhoun : “Jesse Calhoun Indictment: Serial Killer Charges”

Authorities have filed an indictment against 39-year-old Jesse Lee Calhoun, who is accused of murdering three local women and moving their bodies between March and April 2023 in Portland, Oregon.

The indictment, filed by Multnomah County Deputy District Attorney Todd Jackson on May 24, lists 16 witnesses who testified before the grand jury regarding the case.

Charges and Allegations

Calhoun is facing three charges of second-degree murder and three charges of second-degree abuse of a corpse in relation to the deaths of Charity Lynn Perry, Joanna Speaks, and Bridget Leanne Webster.

According to court documents, Calhoun is accused of killing Perry on March 8, 2023, and moving her body to a culvert near Ainsworth State Park, where it was discovered on April 24.

Similarly, he is alleged to have murdered Joanna Speaks on March 18, 2023, and moving her remains to an abandoned barn in Ridgefield, Washington, where she was found on April 8.

Finally, the indictment states that Calhoun killed Bridget Webster on April 26, 2023, and left her body on Harmony Road near Mill Creek in Polk County, where it was found on April 30.

Other Cases and Investigations

Before the recent charges, Calhoun was a person of interest in the deaths of Kristin Smith and Ashley Real. Smith was reported missing in December 2022 and found dead in a wooded area in February 2023. Real’s remains were discovered in the Eagle Creek area in May 2023.

Calhoun is currently held at the Snake River Correctional Institution for parole violations and was set to be released on June 7 before the new charges were filed against him.
