Authorities in Matteson have issued a nationwide arrest warrant for a Chicago man suspected of being involved in a shooting incident that left a mother and her two children injured earlier this month.

The incident took place in the early hours of May 18 at a residence in the 5600 block of Woodgate Drive, where police responded to a report of a home invasion.

Upon arrival, officers discovered three gunshot victims, including the female homeowner, her adult daughter, and a juvenile child. The victims were promptly transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.

While the mother remains in hospital, her children have been discharged and are currently recovering from their injuries, as per the latest update from the authorities.

For safety reasons, the identities of the victims have not been disclosed by the police.

The suspect in question has been identified as 43-year-old Lander D. Coleman, and authorities are seeking assistance from the public and other law enforcement agencies to locate him. Anyone with information on Coleman’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Matteson police at 708-503-3130.
