The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of two individuals in connection with a series of burglaries in the county. Kerry Sherow, aged 49, and Franklin Alexander, aged 44, have been apprehended following an investigation into multiple business break-ins in the 6000 block of Bismark Road in the Cimarron Hills neighbourhood.

The investigation was launched on May 8 after authorities received reports of several burglaries in the area. During the course of their inquiry, deputies discovered that a stolen check from one of the businesses was being used for fraudulent purposes. This led them to identify Alexander as a suspect in the burglaries.

A search warrant was executed at Alexander’s residence, where law enforcement officers recovered items linked to the Bismark Road burglaries, as well as evidence tying him to other break-ins in El Paso County and Colorado Springs. Investigators have connected Alexander to a total of 10 burglaries in the region.

As a result of the investigation, Alexander has been placed in custody at the El Paso County Jail on a $25,000 bond for burglary charges. Meanwhile, Kerry Sherow is also facing legal action and is being held on a $2,000 bond for identity theft.

Sheriff Joseph Roybal expressed his commitment to tackling crime in the community, stating, “I am dedicated to reducing criminal activity in our area and ensuring that those who choose to harm our citizens and violate their sense of security are brought to justice.”
