Joshua Lee Goldman : “Glendale Teen Shooting Father: Tragic Accusation”

GLENDALE, AZ (AZFamily) — Authorities have arrested a 14-year-old boy in connection with the fatal shooting of his father, 39-year-old Joshua Lee Goldman, at their Glendale home on Tuesday afternoon.

The tragic incident occurred just before 4 p.m. near 66th Avenue and Delmonico Lane, south of Olive Avenue. Upon arrival, police found Goldman inside the residence, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after.

Court documents reveal that Goldman’s daughter informed officers that she was engaged in a heated argument with her father when her brother intervened and allegedly shot him. The daughter claimed the shooting took place on the other side of her closed door, preventing her from witnessing the incident.

Additionally, the victim’s father, who was present in another room, reported hearing a dispute followed by gunshots but did not witness the shooting either.

Both relatives informed authorities that the suspect fled the scene alongside a companion. Surveillance footage from a Ring doorbell camera captured the two individuals leaving the premises post-shooting, with one of them carrying a bag while the other inquired about the presence of a firearm.

The pair departed in Goldman’s Toyota Camry, prompting detectives to track their movements. The vehicle was spotted heading towards Las Vegas, leading the Arizona Department of Public Safety to alert troopers, who intercepted the car in Kingman around 7 p.m.

A high-speed chase ensued, reaching speeds of up to 130 mph, before a trooper successfully deployed a Grappler device to halt the vehicle. Subsequently, both individuals were apprehended.

Due to the suspect’s juvenile status, his identity has not been disclosed at this time.
