Keveon Glenn : “Man Charged in Deadly Vegas Valley Attack”

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A man is facing a slew of charges, including open murder, after his alleged involvement in a fatal beating and shooting incident, as per a police report.

Keveon Glenn, aged 29, has been charged with open murder, conspiracy to commit open murder, and two counts of attempted murder, according to records.

The incident took place on May 18 at approximately 4 p.m. Metro police were prompted to respond to multiple reports of a shooting involving a man and a juvenile in the 7300 block of Prairie Falcon Road. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man lying in the street and the juvenile inside a local business receiving aid from bystanders.

Tragically, the man, identified as Carl Chester, Jr., 41, was pronounced deceased. Subsequently, officers were informed that a third victim had been transported to a nearby hospital with gunshot wounds to his chest, later identified as Chester’s brother.

According to police reports, the victim and his family were hosting a birthday celebration at a nearby establishment around 1 p.m. Three different vehicles, a Lexus, a white Cadillac CTS, and a white Dodge Charger, coordinated to carry out an ambush on the victim.

Surveillance footage revealed that both the Cadillac and the Lexus arrived simultaneously. The driver of the Cadillac exited the vehicle and entered the business hosting the birthday party. The footage depicted the individual surveying the attendees, visiting the restroom, and eventually returning to the vehicles outside.

As the three victims exited the business, two individuals emerged from the Lexus and launched an attack, shooting both men. Chester’s brother sustained a gunshot wound to the chest, while the juvenile was wounded in the arm.

A physical altercation ensued between Chester and two of the assailants, during which the Lexus moved forward and struck Chester before colliding with a tree. The vehicle was later reported as stolen.

The driver of the Lexus joined the altercation after exiting the vehicle. Despite managing to get up and flee across the street, Chester was pursued by the suspects and shot multiple times, eventually succumbing to his injuries.

During the altercation, the Cadillac and the Charger circled the parking lot before fleeing the scene post-conflict.

Law enforcement successfully identified Glenn as the driver of the Cadillac and the individual who conducted surveillance inside the business prior to the shooting, leading to his arrest on May 23. He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, as per records.
