Accident – Death – Obituary News : Boone County prosecutors have filed charges against 18-year-old Jordan Brantley from Columbia for second-degree murder. This comes after a tragic incident that took place on Sunday night, resulting in the death of 18-year-old Trevon Ashcraft. Brantley, along with 34-year-old Quanina Lambert, also from Columbia, has been charged with second-degree murder and tampering with physical evidence. Both individuals are currently in custody without bond.

Furthermore, 33-year-old Shannon Glasgow, also from Columbia, faces charges of tampering with physical evidence and hindering prosecution. A capias warrant has been issued for Glasgow’s arrest as Columbia Police continue their search for the suspect.

The fatal shootout occurred on Rice Road, north of Clark Lane, leading to the tragic death of Ashcraft, who succumbed to a gunshot wound to the head. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with authorities working to piece together the events that transpired that fateful night.

According to a heavily-redacted probable cause statement from the Columbia Police Department, it is suggested that Ashcraft may have inadvertently placed himself in harm’s way during the shootout. The court documents also allege that Brantley arrived at the scene on Boyd Lane wearing a black ski mask, adding further complexity to the case.

As the community mourns the loss of Ashcraft, the legal proceedings against the suspects are set to unfold in the coming weeks. The Columbia Police Department is urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward and assist in bringing justice to the victim and his family.

In times of tragedy, it is crucial for the community to come together and support one another. The loss of a young life is always a heartbreaking event, and it is essential for law enforcement to diligently pursue justice for the victim and ensure that those responsible are held accountable for their actions..
