The third person involved in the incident on Sunday is yet to be officially identified by the coroner’s office.

The incident took place in the early hours of Sunday along the northbound lanes of I-25. A driver travelling in the wrong direction on the southbound lanes collided head-on with another vehicle, resulting in the deaths of both drivers. The wrong-way driver succumbed to their injuries after being transported to a nearby hospital, while the other driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

It has been clarified that Dalisse Rivera-Albino’s role in the accident has not been confirmed as either the wrong-way driver or the victim of the head-on collision. Tragically, during his attempt to help, Montalvo was struck by a northbound driver and lost his life.

In a separate event, hundreds of individuals gathered at the Pikes Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs to honour Memorial Day. Nearly 1,000 attendees participated in the annual ceremony, paying tribute to the fallen heroes and veterans who have served their country. The solemn occasion provided an opportunity for the community to come together in remembrance and reflection.
